Managing Mold Contamination

Once mold has taken hold in a structure, the rate that it is capable of spreading at is extremely quick.  In order to limit the spread of mold during the remediation process, SERVPRO of Northwest Escambia County will often utilize containment areas, constructed with plastic sheeting, to either protect surfaces that are not yet contaminated, or to seal off contaminated areas for work.  Depending on the extent of the mold contamination, and subsequent work needed, these containment areas can cover small areas or entire sections of a building.  This process allows our team to work more expeditiously to resolve the issue for the customer, and limits the cost of mold remediation.
