Saturation From a Broken Pipe
A broken supply line in the kitchen of this home allowed a large amount to water to seep into the dining area and saturate the wood flooring. Due to the level of saturation, and subsequent warping of the flooring, the wood in this area was not able to be salvaged. After removing the damaged wood and scraping the flooring adhesive from the concrete below, SERVPRO of Northwest Escambia County proceeded to tent the affected area to facilitate quicker drying. This process concentrates the blowing air from the drying equipment for efficiency in the drying process when damages are contained to a localized area. This resulted in less of the wood flooring becoming damaged by the water loss.
